AP Professional Development Conference that took place on October 27-28, 2017 at the American School of Dubai. United Arab Emirates was a great opportunity for Mr. Ali Kassem representing A’Takamul International School to be part of.

Mr. Jim Gerber, who was sent by the College Board, shed the light on AP Calculus Curriculum Framework and the key changes to the objectives that should be covered for 2017 AP Exam. Mr. Gerber was more than generous to share his experience, knowledge, and resources with us so we can help our students do better at the AP Exam. This output of the workshop has helped us focus on what to teach our students, and made us aware of the changes occurred on the AP Exam for 2017 as well as the assessment strategies.
It was a great experience for our representative to meet experienced teachers from different parts of the world and to share and discuss new ways of teaching AP Calculus. The workshop enhanced our trainee’s teaching skills and has indeed helped him provide better learning experiences to our dear students so they become more competent critical thinkers who are well prepared to achieve their future goals.
